Robert Palmer

An eclectic voice combining soul, jazz, rock, pop, reggae and blues, Robert Allen Palmer was born January 19, 1949 in Batley, Yorkshire. The Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter found success in both his solo career and with the act, Power Station, which featured members of Duran Duran. He is most known for the popular music videos for "Simply Irresistible" and "Addicted to Love" by Terence Donovan. He was signed on Island Records during his early solo career and later moved to EMI in 1988. He passed away in 2003.
